Main Research directions

1.Identification, evaluation and innovative utilization of sorghum variety resources.

2.Genetic breeding of sorghum, demonstrating and extension of the new varieties.

Overview of Teaching and Research

Engaged in genetic breeding and identification, evaluation and innovative utilization of sorghum variety resources for a long time. Presided over one major project of Shanxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, one key project of Shanxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and one innovation project of Shanxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Participated in more than 10 projects of national science and technology support program, national major spark project, national fund and various scientific research projects at prefecture-level level. Published 20 papers in national academic journals, obtained 2 national invention patents, and bred 3 new sorghum varieties which have passed national registration and provincial identification.
